Joe Campos passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25th.   Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, August 7th and a Memorial Service will follow.  Please consider wearing a mask due to the recent spike in COVID cases.  Thanking you ahead for your consideration in protecting yourself and others.

Joe was born in Waco, Texas to Pete Sr and Mary Gaytan Campos.  He married Maria Delia Sanchez on February 25th, 1950.  Joe was a hard working man who held two jobs at one time for the majority of his life.  He worked for RC Cola, Cox’s Candy, Trautschold Company, Southwestern Drug, Word Inc and the City of Waco.  He traveled to many places with his wife, Maria Delia, when she was an officer in the Telephone Pioneers organization.  The trip that he enjoyed the most though was their 50 year wedding anniversary trip to Hawaii where they renewed their vows.   Joe loved to barbeque for his family and friends and he enjoyed the complements given on his barbeque.  He loved his family very much and the grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren always brought a smile to his face as well as laughter.  He had a sharp memory and we enjoyed listening to him recall memories about each one of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Yolanda Hynum,  sisters Dora Jones and Gloria Viera and brothers  Everett and Alfred Campos.   He is survived by his wife; Maria Delia Campos, daughter Cynthia Montemayor and husband Ernest, son Mario Campos and friend Kristi, son-in-law Raymond Hynum, grandchildren Maria Delia O’Bryant and husband, Jason, Michael DeAngelis, Nathan Hynum and wife Desiree, Brian Montemayor, Justin Hynum and wife Kelsey, great grandchildren Pete Perez and wife Victoria, Kirston DeAngelis, Breanna Sandoval and partner Sonny Maggio, Bryce Sandoval, Allison, Leah, Rebekah, Christopher, Gabriel, Eve and Tyler Hynum plus Jonathan, Abigail and Emmy Lou who were also a part of his life, great great grandchildren Braylon Ross, Aveah Maggio and Olivia Perez.  He is also survived by his sister, Ofelia McConnell, brothers Robert Campos and wife Cindy, Bernard Campos and wife Louise, Pete Campos Jr and wife Mary and David Campos plus numerous nieces and nephews.
